RE: Floor Vents

You can buy 'vent sheets' for this specific use. They look like Bounce sheets (soemtimes I have even used Bounce sheets. You put them under the vent and remove before your next heating season.

RE: When do you tie down your awning?

We tie our awning down every time it is out. DH cemented the screw type anchors in plastic buckets. We just attached the ratchet straps to the metal anchors. When at the beach we do bring our awning in when the winds 'kick up'. Seen too many end up on the opposite side of the TT.

RE: where are you going

We will be traveling to Maggie Valley, NC. Taking the motorcycle so we can drive the Blue Ridge Parkway. This is the third trip this year but it hasn't been enough.

RE: Charleston SC

I LUV James Island. It has so much to offer. Close to downtown, bike/waling trails, 'dog park'. The sites were nice and the best staff.

RE: Near Ashville, NC

I would suggest Rutledge Lake in Fletcher, NC which is about 10 miles from Biltmore House or Creekwood Farms in Waynesville, NC. Mama Gertis is not far either. I haven't been impressed with the KOA's in this area for the price you pay.

RE: Clothes Rack Mod???

I love it. We have been trying to figure out what we could do with ours which is a little bigger than what you show but I think it will work. Can't wait to try this mod. Thanks,

RE: looking for nc campgrounds

I would also recommend Creekwood Farms in Waynesville or Rutledge Lake in Fletcher. Both really nice CG.

RE: Anyone cancelling trips due to gas prices?

We just returned from a 3 night weekend. We are not planning on not camping as often but have decided not to make the 5 hour trip(s) that we normally put in each summer. Sorry but I would rather spend a few more nights camping then watching it blow out the back of the TV in fuel.

RE: What does a reservation mean?

I could understand if when you checked in you were advised that their had been a mistake and the site only had xx days then you would need to move. I would definitely have a problem if they let me check in and unpack and then come back and tell me that I needed to move.

RE: Cherokee NC - Need Your Recommendations

I recommend Creekwood Farm. They are located conveniently just off Exit 20 at I40. It is a 30 minute ride into Cherokee. This campground caters to the mature campers (there is no playground, no pool). Some sites are on the river side and you can relax in your chair as you hear the leaves fall and the water trickle over the rocks. www.creekwoodfarmrv.com

We also have planned our first trip to THE RALLY in Macon, GA March 12 -17. We will then stay on the road until Dec. DH got laid off from work so he has NO excuses that he can't take the time off. I have plenty of days that I can take so here we come :)

RE: Attaching items to the wall??

We also have the 3M Command Adhesive hooks in several places. I did however, have a few of my pictures put on the walls with screws at top and bottom so I wouldn't have to worry about them during travel.

We have the RL in our Wildwood. I don't think we could live without it now.

RE: What set of sewer hoses to get?

We have also just switched to the Blueline Ultimate Sewer Products. We have tried them all over our years of camping. This seems to be the 'easiest' when having to connect the additional hose.

RE: Perry Georgia Rally - What ticket will you buy

We are going also and staying off site. We will get the Passport so we can get in on all the events. I think the Prom will be a good chuckle.

RE: Spring Camping

We have never really had any issues. I do turn on the roof exhaust fan after using the shower to dry up the moisture that collects in the TT during. We have 'cracked' the window if we see moisture (which has been very few times). Happy camping.
